In a heartwarming gesture, Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan – who is currently enrolled at the prestigious Harvard Business School along with captain Babar Azam – gifted his teacher a copy of the Holy Quran.
The Two cricketers Pursuing the School’s Executive Education Program on Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports (BEMS).
As a picture of the cricketer presenting a translated copy of the Quran surfaced on Twitter, netizens started appreciating his gesture.

Note that Rizwan is a practicing Muslim and is very active in religious outreach as he preaches Islam to his fellow cricketers and seniors. Earlier, he gifted a copy of the Holy Quran to former Pakistan batting mentor Matthew Hayden.
Babar and Rizwan were the first two cricketers to join the prestigious school. They will participate in this program from May 31 to June 3. The duo will also engage with various communities in the US after the program till June 13.
“It is a great honor to represent Pakistan on such a prestigious global stage. We are going BEMS program at Harvard To learn from the world’s best — both faculty and program fellows — and at the same time share our journey and learnings with everyone. I am sure it will be an exciting journey, and I look forward to sharing our learnings and experiences with the next superstars of the cricketing world,” Rizwan said a few days ago.
Babar, meanwhile, echoed similar thoughts.
“I am a lifelong learner and I have chatted in detail with Professor Elberse and about this program. [Talha] Rehmani. My motivation for joining this world-class program at Harvard is to connect, explore, listen, learn, grow and give back to the global community. I am sure there is much to learn from the amazing athletes and top business executives from the entertainment, media and sports industries from all over the world.”
Previously, the course has also been taken by other athletes including footballers Kaka, Edwin van der Sar, Gerard Pique, Oliver Kahn, NFL’s Brandon Marshall, NBA’s Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, and Major League Baseball’s Alex Rodriguez.
