The film’s trailer certainly did its job of making viewers uncomfortable as four strangers walk into the remote vacation cabin of Eric (Jonathan Groff), Andrew (Ben Aldridge) and Wayne (Kristen Quee), taking them hostage while asking. They have to make an unimaginable and difficult decision to save the world from its end.
Below is the official synopsis of ‘Knock at the Cabin’:
“While vacationing in a remote cabin, a young girl and her parents are held hostage by four armed strangers who claim that the family makes an unthinkable choice to avoid annihilation. With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what to believe. Do it before everything is lost.”
Although The Rotten Tomatoes scores around 65% from both critics and audiences (67% from critics and 63% from audiences), everyone can agree on Dave Bautista’s performance. The wrestler-turned-actor is known for playing Drax the Destroyer in Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and can be seen in many titles such as ‘Spectre‘,’Army of the Dead‘,’the hill‘,’Glass onions‘, and many more. Bautista plays Leonard in the film, the leader of a group of strangers who arrive at Eric and Andrew’s remote cabin. Unlike Drax, Leonard’s character is thoughtful and calm, and Bautista’s impressive performance is definitely something to behold in this film.
